Adolescent Treatment
NORCAT provides highly effective, compassionate residential treatment for adolescent males ages 12-18.
NORCAT equips young people with the knowledge and skills they need to break free from a chemical addiction. Residential programming is conducted 7 days per week, 24 hours per day for a minimum of 90 days, and includes:
- Drug/Alcohol Education
- Individual and Group Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Case Management

- Behavior Modification Therapy
- Activity/Recreational Therapy
- Twelve-Step Integration
- Continuing Care

State-certified teachers and aides provide on-site educational services, while primary care physicians supervise the adolescent’s medical needs.
Outpatient Treatment
Specialized treatment for adolescents
and young adults
Meridian offers low intensity treatment services to adolescents and young adults (ages 15-19) that are beginning to experience problems with drugs and/or alcohol.
The low intensity program consists of an eight (8) week educational series, along with individual and family counseling services and drug screening. When necessary referrals to a higher level of care are made.
Group topics (Tuesdays, 4:30PM-6PM) include:
- Use/Abuse/Dependency
- Effects of use on the body/denial issues
- Healthy relationships/ family issues
- Recovery plan development

- Self-esteem building
- Coping skills- stress & anger
- Relapse prevention
- Making better decisions/setting personal goals
